This factory was closed down in September 2014 and we purchased the entire machinery, molds and some raw material and it is ready to be re-assembled in another location.
For the last 15 years these passenger recapped tires were sold to taxi fleets, mining, construction, law enforcement, US post office, small service trucks for constant heavy use in USA, since they were better wearing than the new more expensive new Chinese tires. This product is well known to such users.

Since last 2 years much cheaper and inferior tires were imported from China which competed with the local recapping industry. This was accomplished by "dumping" which means selling below the cost and being subsidized by Chinese government for the price difference.
According to Tire Industry Association of USA (TIA), due to complains from Steel Workers Union starting September 2014 such dumping has been prohibited and US Government has imposed import tariff of 38% to 98% starting January 15, 2015 on new tires which wipes out the cheap tire competition and makes this factory very valuable.
In 2013 the largest tire retailer in California with 138 franchise stores (Big-O) tire is willing to buy the new factory's entire production and supply the used tires (casings) for recapping. In addition, there are many government agencies that have bids contracts advertised on their websites looking for recapped tires for their fleets on regular basis
Tires manufactured by this factory has been certified by US Department of Transport DOT as class "B" under code of ECR suitable to be used in passenger and service truck vehicles to drive in excess of 85 Miles Per Hour (135 Kilometer/hr.) and have been laboratory tested by one of the most respectable testing laboratories in USA (test certificates available)
The tires are recapped Bead to Bead vulcanization, which means it is not cold glued like the recapped truck tires, instead it’s bonded permanently on the casing covering the complete rim bead.
The factory has 20 molds/presses of popular US sizes (BF Goodrich design) capable of producing about 1000 tires in 3 work shifts.
10 presses/molds were converted from steam to hot oil. The oil is vegetable oil which is heated up to 380 degrees F (193 Centigrade) with 2 oil heaters, less complications and problems with the local government, much cleaner and safer operation than steam. It can be converted back to steam.
You will need about 10,000 sq. ft. (920 square meters) of space which about 5,000 sq. ft. (460 square meters) for tire storage and maneuver around.
Equipment will need about 4,000 sq. ft. (370 sq. meters)
Everything you need to get started right away is US$ 360,000. CIF to your port giving you a Net profit per month (working 20 days - 24 hours a day) is $ 8. X 20,000 = $ 160,000 per month.
